Not again.....

Just another reminder that things can change in an instant.

DH called me this morning to let me know that he had been laid off today, his first day back at work after vacation.   The company let another middle management person go last Friday too.  So now I have an unemployed husband (again).   

I keep trying to look at the bright side that we went through this 2 years ago (yes, almost to the day!), but that now I know the ropes of dealing with the unemployment office.  And, hopefully something will turn up quickly.

Please send us some positive energy/thoughts/prayers that we can get through this as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

To Add Insult to Injury

O.k.  I hate computer hackers like everyone else.  But what I dislike even more is when companies like TJMaxx don't tell you that your information has possibly been stolen and leave it up to someone else (I have yet to receive a letter from them informing me that my account information was compromised).  I found out from my bank when they informed me that my credit card would only be valid until a certain date, and only for purchases under $100 until the new one arrived. 

What a hassle it is to go through and change all credit card numbers on various accounts once your old credit card number isn't valid anymore.   

And to make matters worse?  The chenille sweater I bought at TJMaxx, and wore exactly once?  It  disintegrated in the washing machine and wound up with holes in it where the yarn fell apart.   

Oh yeah.  That was a good deal.    :-P

Did you ever have a birthday...

Where there was little time for yourself?

Sometimes I think there should be a rule that birthdays are for doing anything that you want, regardless of business and family wants.

Yeah, this one has really sucked.  Maybe once I enter my 40's things will look better?

No, I'm not looking for sympathy or birthday wishes.  I just needed to get that off my chest.
