July 22nd Fiber Event

Is there anyone else out there from the New England area/Northeast who is going to go see Norah Gaughan at Webs on Saturday, besides me?   I've been signed up for a while, but hadn't seen on any of the blogs if anyone else was planning to go too.  She'll be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you must "reserve" your spot (go to Webs site to sign up).  If you plan to be there, give me a holler so that we can meet up!   :-D

And who says that hot days can't end in comfortable temps with a beautiful sunset?  Here was my view from the barn tonight when I was feeding the rabbits:

Saturday Sky (picture heavy post)

This is my Saturday sky.  Earlier today, it was crystal clear, but this afternoon, I see more grey than blue, and it is hazy, hot and humid. 

You probably don't know but my favorite flower for a summer garden is the daylily.  I have 20 some varieties in my yard; some of my favorite colors out front, but some equally beautiful colors in the smaller back garden.  Every single plant is different, even though they might look very similar.  Since I don't have any pictures to show you of my knitting, I took pictures of the daylily plants I have that are blooming.  I have about 3 plants that don't have flowers on them right now, so when they bloom, I'll take pictures of those too. 

I hope you enjoy the colors as much as I do!

Saturday Sky

If you look closely, you might even be able to see a small plane going over our house.
